Situated at Dwejra, this is the last chapel built in the countryside in Gozo. Constructed in 1963 it is modern in style. The exterior features a reinforced concrete cantilever carrying a cross resting on two columns, while also providing a covered entrance. Surmounting the chapel is a bell-cot. The inside consists of a small rectangular room dominated by the main altar piece depicting a young Virgin Mary being instructed by her mother Saint Anne. A statue of Saint Anne also adorns the chapel. Special festivities are held every year on the 25th & 26th July in honour of Saint Anne’s liturgical feast.
